Life is so short
You can lose it in a moment
We realize as we wait
With prayers and in silence

Lord, please come through
Perform a miracle for him
Let him respond to more than pain
Don't let the light grow dim

All our prayers light candles
Waiting in the dark
Let us pray together
And light another spark

With fervor and with passion
We pray for a miracle to come
As we wait, and wait
For the rising of the sun

Please let him come out of this
You know he has a good heart
One that beats inside us all
The most important part

They say miracles can happen
You just need to believe
So take my hand, join in our prayers
And just believe with me

Thirty minutes, two hours
We all hold our breath
Will it be life
Or will it be death?

The author's comments:
This one I wrote after my cousin was in a car accident, leaving him unconscious. No one at the time was really sure what would happen. And when something like that happens, we all turn to something, whether it be our faith, family, etc. It wasn't really easy to write, because I wrote it right after I found out. And I knew very well that death was a possibility.
