Still like a rock

Thinking about Brock
He was a good soldier like the little boy who never stopped
So I laid there
Waiting like a ticking bomb
Waiting to blow
So I laid there
Waiting for the silent footsteps in the night
So I laid there
About to snipe
So I laid there
Breathing the air of death
So I laid there thinking about my girl Beth
So I laid there
Dreaming about my precious, precious kids
So I laid there
Waiting for him to come
Finally there he was
Like a ghost at night
Nobody new but my precious eye
So the deed is done.
