Drawing
Paper and pencils is all I need to run away from this world.
I go up to my room, closing the door behind me.
All the noises and fears disappear as I sit and hold the smooth yellow pencil.
Across the paper, lines appear.
The lines turn into shapes, swaying to the mood of the pictures.
My pencil dances across the paper, easer it’s partner.
The fly goes buzz into my ear, trying its best to annoy me.
I smirk as the fly gives up and flies out the open window.
I turn my attention back to the dance.
It’s coming to a conclusion and I’m getting sleepy.
The hours have past, the sun is sleeping.
I clap as the pencil and easer take a bow for the dance is over.
