Better Is The New Worse
If you would stop and listen
Then maybe you would hear
the silent screaming set in
the whisper of a tear
If you open up your eyes
and observe what's all around
you'd see beauty as it dies
mourning what was never found
If you felt things with your heart
instead of your demanding mind
you'd see that you played a part
in the chaos left behind
If you actually cared
about anyone elses views
then you might have been prepared
when pandemonium broke loose
But all of these are "if"'s
they really have no value
apart from creating rifts
between the ones you thought you knew
so keep being oblivious
and keep living in fear
but, if you ever stopped to listen,
you'd be suprised at what you hear.
