Do you know what it is?
It sneaks up behind you like an assassin, grabs you firmly with both hands, pulls you closer and closer.
You are filled with fear.
All you feel is it, all you taste is it, all you can think about is it.
You are scared what this means.
And then, suddenly, the grip on you is no longer so rough.
You realize it is soft, gentle, comforting.
Its hands ghost across your skin, light as a feather. It tenderly untangles you from its grip, twirling you so that you can see it.
You know what it is now. You smile.
It plants soft kisses across your cheeks, makes them flame, and gives your hands a tight squeeze before spinning you like a ballerina.
You feel as if you are floating.
It dances with you, makes you feel alive, truly alive. Bends you back, makes you laugh with pleasure. You are completely safe in its arms. And then it lets go of you, drops you.
You fall on your back, hit your head, and are stunned.
It blinks at you, watches you as you lay.
You are confused and hurt.
It bends slowly down towards you and offers you its hand. “This is what happens if you are not careful, make a mistake, and let me go,” it says.
You understand.
It lifts you back up and you continue dancing, dancing on and on and on.
You and Love.
Together.
In a constant spin.
Forever and always.
