I'm a full time actor
never ceasing
masking the hurt
enclosing my soul
announcing the accepted

abstract thought
underground mind
silent to the noise
the shallow accepted

abandon belief
ambush me world
swallow my word
drown my song
be the accepted

The author's comments:
I've found recently that I cover my true self with what people will accept, instead of what is real. This poem is the struggle with being yourself, even if it isn't the accepted.
