Who am I?
Who am I?
“Short and squatty,
all butt and no body!”
That's what my mom used to say,
As my older comrade laughed at my stoutness.
I am a daughter, a sister,
A lover, a fighter,
A mother, and an artist,
I look back now and laugh,
as I bounce Rylan in my lap,
Rylan is like a bright nebula,
Shining bright in my darkness.
I am a daughter, a sister,
A lover, a fighter,
A mother, and an artist,
Nebula's cloud my dreams at night,
trapping me in the beauty,
colors swirling all around me.
The night sky has extraordinary art.
I am a daughter, a sister,
A lover, a fighter,
A mother, and an artist,
I stand my ground,
and fight for what I think is right.
There's no way I can go wrong,
With my comrade by my side.
I am a daughter, a sister,
A lover, a fighter,
A mother, and an artist,
but most of all...
I am me.
