Je mets un pied devant l’autre
Gauche, droite gauche :
Droite gauche droite
Peu à peu, encore plus vite
Et plus difficile à suivre
La musique traditionnelle
Donne le rythme
De la danse, de la vie
Petit à petit
Je démêle le mystère
De la culture bretonne
Je chante les chants
Je danse les danses
Je vis la vie
Et je commence à devenir
Un d’eux

Breton Folk Dancing

I place one foot in front of the other
Left, right left:
Right left right
Little by little, still more quickly
And more difficult to follow
The traditional music
Provides the rhythm
Of the dance, of life
Little by little
I’m unraveling the mystery
Of Breton culture
I’m chanting the chants
I’m dancing the dances
I’m living the life
And I’m beginning to become
One of them
