Forgotten Tears
I know in my heart so dear.
That not even in death,
would my heart stop beating for you.
What I feel is the wind,
forever awake and moving.
Neither trapped nor broken.
Neither forgotten nor lost.
You are melded to my essence,
to my being.
There is no life without you
somewhere in it.
I would be an empty shell,
stuck in a sea of thoughtless ones.
Surrounded by those that wouldn’t
understand my forgotten tears.
