Come, my darling,
And sit with me.
Together we'll lay out in the forgiving fall sun,
Caught between childhood's naked summers
And the real-world's bitter winter.
We're suspended in the memory of everyone's
Shining adolescence, we've lost the drummer
Bidding us march on into relationships broken and splintered.
So on a golden glowing day
Together we'll march away
Hand in hand,
Drifting in this first fresh year,
Eternally gifted with our memories.
