i am from the sunlight
that smiles upon the grass
shining in my raven hair
bringing back my smile,
and the rolling clouds
that take me away
to that place where there is nothing.

i am from soft music
dancing up to stairs,
from tapping keys
and songs
both happy and sad.

i am from the silence
shouting louder than words,
the fire burning at the edges
of pictures
in my mind
but still not erasing the
parts lined with sorrow.

i am from that locket
gold with the dragonfly
with the heart on the chain
and the little pearl bead,
empty of me
but still full of who i am.
