Thorny Vines

The thorny vines,
All tangled up
With garbage and weeds
And fallen rejected leaves
But no one really sees,
What it really needs

And they all run past it,
To go complement
The red and pretty trees,
And they don’t see what the thorny vines really need.

They all avoid the thorns
They don’t come near
So they don’t get caught
In the mess of leaves
But that’s not what it really needs.

What will make them understand
what it really needs?
