Blink
slopes sharp and smooth
and melded into glass
formations.
The formations,
cold, lifeless,
glass, so pretty
daring you to touch
you need
to touch
but its so sharp and
when you do the water
cuts at you and the ice
gets under your skin you
scrape at it and scream
“get out get out”
but it’s
like a disease spreading
up through your
hand turning your
skin cold and the sun shivers
in your presence now
you went against instinct and
you touched the beauty
and now
you’re beautiful.
and now
I can’t ever touch you
