Venus Love Trap
I. Innocence Has Wings:
Searching for another victim,
one to fill his newly vacant center.
The edges of his jaws hidden,
pressed and disguised by his beauty,
He waits to steal the wings
of another flight of innocence.
II. Innocence Takes Flight:
Its weakness is its pull:
[Positive and negative]
“The beauty evened out the beast.”
His cilia maintain his hold:
[keeping its fragile wings in tact]
An air tight seal of affection and abandonment.
III. Innocence Remains:
Once again his center is full;
He grins with the victory of another
flight just like the one before.
And even after its wing has been clipped,
its hopeless desire remains.
But he can only Search and Destroy.
