Shuffle Off the Planet
When the last word is said,
When the last soul is dead.
When your broken heart mends,
When this dirty world ends.
You’ll be happy child when you die,
When you leave this terrible mess behind.
Until then have your fun,
Cause you won’t miss this life when it’s done.
It’ll be over faster than you think,
Faster than a flash, and faster than a blink.
When the last bird flies,
When the last flower dies.
When the last fish swims
As the last light dims.
When you feel the sweet pull of death
As you take your last remaining breath.
That’s when it will all make sense,
This burden of a life, this blur of events.
