scars
my scars
permanent memories of my anger
my lack of self-control
thinking hurting myself
will finally make me whole
the lines across my skin
let the hidden pain out
releasing everything built up within
finally
in my mind
I think I win
the blood flowing
red tears run like rivers
down from my wrist
hoping one day
due to this
I’ll no longer exist
the contrast of red scars and blue veins
one day
you’ll notice the scars
and see my pain
