My Laptop
A smile crept across my face,
like Santa tip toeing across the roof.
As I looked down at the present in my lap
my mind processed the thought of what I had just opened.
It was what I had wanted.
But had never expected to get.
A new laptop,
a nice laptop,
a laptop I knew my parents couldn’t really afford,
But had bought for me because that’s what they knew I wanted.
