"These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss, consume." -William Shakespere (Romeo and Juliet)

Ecstacy lies beneath as I let the cards unfold.
Will it be strictly apathy?
Or mounds upon mounds of gold?
I can't help but be quizzical, what I'll do with all that time.
Defending people and their rights,
Or will I simply rhyme?
Is it possible I'll stay the same,
never miss a beat.
That time has kept me just the same and there is no one to greet.
I suppose one day I'll look upon my past with just a smile.
Because I stressed and stirred myself,
Really all the while-
I'm busy laying my yellow brick road.
Exactly where I'll walk.
Now all is left is time to wait.
Relax.
Tick Tock.

The author's comments:
Sometimes I feel so confused, not knowing the outcome of my life. The future can be scary, and this just helped me relax and be open to options.
