I’ll swallow my peace
For this last night on earth
The sky pale, injured from the moon
And we find solace…here?
So full of majesty, but devoid of light
Grace befallen the cruel with no intent to breathe?
You lowered your head…
I almost stopped to fill my lungs, when you said
“There is no here”
I woke…

Step by step, I retrace my life
Living in the aftermath of my very destruction
Where art thou dream? Thy will to live?
But who am I to live anyways? A costly breath
For such a sickly wretch…
Whosoever think that I am worth even an ounce of pity…
To them I give my hate, with no regards to their thanks
I pity them! Their soul so cemented in anguish and deceit
In hopes that even a god could save me…
So…I speak in allegories
Tell tales already told
To fill a faith so hard to hold
There is no here, there never was
Just a mindless reminder of what could have been
