Delicate and Soft

T o s s e d

By the

Silent

Wind.

It gracefully falls

Down

To

The

White

Earth.
Tiny ice crystals
Brighten up the sky,

Shining

Like a star.

How many people

Have

Felt
This chilled flurry upon their cheeks?

Like white rain
It Crackles
As it hits the surface,
Resting on trees,
Or upon rooftops
The
Beauty

Is

Undeniable
How many people

Have

Left

Desolated footprints
Into this white sheet,
So
perfect

and
soft?

Melting

To the touch,
Falling

Every
Second,

How many people

Have

Exhaled

Such warm

Sweet

Breath,
It can be seen through the

Blanketed air.

Snow;

A Wonder of it’s own,

A priceless gift

Delivered from the

Heavens.

Miraculous as it is,
So very soon it will be gone,

hence catch it while you can,

and enjoy this winter wonderland

My class had decided to go outside and collect inspiration from the falling snow. Ater we came inside, we wrote about our experience, and that is where this poem originated.
