Song Bird

Angels float away,
Singing like the song birds,
Singing all the wrong words...
Life was never fair,
Too little to share...
Pain like a dart
Clashing in the heart.

But...
Time moves on,
And so do you, song bird.
When something brings the thought back...
Everything turns black...
But,
Don't wait.
Just tell yourself,
"I'm going to be okay".

Hold your life in hand,
Get up and stand,
Don't tug the heartstrings,
Just hold on tight...
To those angel wings.

The author's comments:
I wrote this for a woman who's baby died during child birth, she was really torn up, so I wrote this
