It Doesn't Belong Here.
Leave me alone, I begged
It reached for me with its unforgiving, cold fingers
Light shot at it but could not penetrate the dark skin of its false protection
Seductive, it perched on my shoulder
Why did I let it come in?
 Lies, it was
 All lies

It says you're not good enough
 You will never make it
 Who would want you?
 You're alone

 Lies, they repeat themselves
 They...won't shut up
 Can't be muted
If only there was a remote to lower their volume to nonexistence

 But who always wins?
Who can break down any wall?
 That voice inside your head,
 The darkness.
It can't stand up to this new force
Jesus steps in with a ring of light
Shining in the light of His glory

If He is with you, who can be against you?
