Blank, Gone
Blank expression,
Nothings there
Blank eyes,
The window to your soul shows nothing
Blank mind,
No thoughts, no memories
Blank
Your face shows no emotion
You’re neither happy nor sad
You’re just gone
Your eyes
The light behind them has gone out
No longer illuminating your soul that should shine through
It’s been released
It’s gone
Your memories live with us now
Times that we both shared
And your thoughts put down on paper
Are all the remain
The others, they are gone
We hide behind blank faces
Trying to deny that you are gone
You wear a blank expression
Because what’s gone is gone is gone
No longer can we smile,
Neither you nor me
You because you’re dead
Me ‘cause it can’t be
I want to hold you one more time
To say a real good-bye
But that’s not something I can do
So my tears flow, I cry
Love is such a strong word
And never said enough
We hide behind blank faces
We try to mask our hearts
Till what we love the most is gone,
Till from us it departs
