The Stains of countless treks
splatter
the sides
tinting the white
forever.
Dots of color
freckle the top
preserving the art
for an eternity
Rips and Dents of adventure
cover
the sole
but never hinder
my stride.
My Sneakers,
a monument to the events of a year.
Like a book just
waiting to be read.
My constant companions,
preventers of harm.
Sneakers!
