comes to mind
I want to write but no passion
fills my eyes

Eyes red, tear stained, and sleepless
Eyes lacking luster only showing shadows of past joys
Eyes burning from tears, yearning for more-
and seeing
nothing...

My mind remains empty for it's own good
Thoughts only whisper thoughts of the past
Hushed shouts of painful memories fighting
to be heard-

Tired of being tortured by pst regrets
Tired of being taunted by present failures
Tired of waiting for unfulfilled promises
Tired of holding on-
Time to shut down.
