I am a rose
soft smells
bright colors
pulling you in
you go in with a pluck
my thorns go to work
my stem is covered
blood rushes out
your finger
my beauty isn't
worth the pain
there you drop me
I rot in the mud
my needles turn
to dirt and ash
seeds of other flowers
cover my carcass
growing from my lost
the cycle starts again
