Because summer with you was vanilla ice cream
and Ray's pool swing
Because summer with you was made up of notes where
each moment meant everything
Because summer meant that secret green patch in the park
and staying up way past dark
of dancing in garages to all of our songs
of knowing that you've been there all along
Summer with you meant never being alone
Summer with you meant I would never leave home.
I miss you.
