A labrynthine trail of thoughts,
a wad of sticky memories,
thorny insults poking out,
obscure ideas tossed in
with a handful of dead-end plots,
along with a few licorice sticks
like love
(sweet, with a bitter aftertaste);
a couple insubstantial dreams
that will fade like mist
after a while,
a glow of sunshine
here and there,
some angry black daggers,
and an assortment of day-to-day routines
sprinkled in.
