A Silent Cry

Slipping slowly past the remains of sanity
edging towards the point of extinction
staring at the face of who I used to be
and all I do is silently scream
how can I tell you I'm not okay?
How can I show you I'm so far gone and I need you to stay?
Help me defeat the ghost of my past
stand by my side while we diminish my doubting flames
hold my hand and keep me feeling sane
solve the puzzle and make me feel again
