If ever there is a tomorrow when were not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem & smarter than you think, but the most important thing is, even if were apart I'll always be you.

Without you here by me,
my world crumbles to the ground,
once a beautiful place,
now is a playground full of pity.
I call out your name,
hoping to hear your voice,
but all I get is the terrifying silence,
so I weep,
using sobs as a lullaby,
and I drift into stillness.
My lovely world fades,
and my once colored world,
turns to black.
The days go by slow,
torturing me,
I feel deep pain and hurt,
but never do I feel happiness.
Hoping one day we'll meet again,
I'll do my best to survive,
in this world of darkness.

This is a poem about a father or mother leaving their kids behind. I was inspired after reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
