Favorite Quote:
"if love be blind, love cannot hit the mark"- Shakespeare ( romeo and juliet )

When you look at the wall
What do you see
Do you see friends, love ones, family
Are you a mother, father, son, daughter, friend
Or are you someone who’s just looking for fun
If so then you should know
Each name represents a national hero
You see a john
I see bravery
No name is a number
Each name is a soldier
Who fought, Died, or is lost
You should know this because each day of the year
Someone died here
Everywhere in the world
There is some one hurting for that one name
This wall is no wall
It’s a burden that carries us all

on the 8th grade dc trip, we went to the vietnam memorial " the wall" and i wrote about the names and how the families would have felt. but also keeping in mind that it is a tourest attraction. so explaining through this poem, it is toward an audience of people who are unaware of what had occured or were not effected by it.
