he stands at the head of
the pack
waiting to change
my mistakes into
perfection
by extinguishing the rough, sharpened
flames he is greeted
as a hero
even though I act like
his opinion means nothing
I take all his words
and turn them in to my
reality
he brags about his secrets
and his a accomplishments
secretly my goals
are similar to his accomplishments
as he smoothes out
my attitude, as if
it was a splintered
board waiting to be a part
of a beautiful creation
he stands as my
dad
