Broken & Bleeding
Broken, bleeding, I lay in the dark abyss,
Longing for someone to come and comfort me,
But fearing their needle sharp words that will pierce my broken heart.
They will say they love me, at first,
But those words are only black deceiving poison,
That is masked by pretty wrapping.
Yet even though I know this I will still open up for them,
And let them hurt me.
For I’ve been alone for so long that even the pain has become a thing to welcome.
The pain that will leave me broken,
Bleeding, and numb to the core as I lay in the darkness,
Alone for now…and forever.
