I close my eyes
and devour my unease –
For I fear not the darkness when I close my eyes,
But that when I open them –
You won't be there anymore …
I'll disappear into the fog
what crawls outside your window
or maybe the the dust that gathers on your tearducts.
Or better yet –
I'll fade away,
and become just another print in the wallpaper.
