I am done
Hauling anger heavier than the backpack you bear
You walk into the classroom everyday
with the same hostility haughtily weighed
The gleaming glare in your eyes
What does it get you?
Dignity and pride?
If you ignore
Call me a w---e
a b---h
Hate me with a reason you don’t give
What does it get you?
The satisfaction of power
You are no better than me
I don’t care who says
You are not a better person than me
You are worse
You are cruel
I will show the world
you’re cruel
So, don’t walk in anymore
with those same shoulders
I’ve had it with your useless hate
If you’ve learned to replace love with anger and spite
then I will learn to replace love with its opposite-
indifference
I am done with this foolishness
Be immature and burden yourself with past feelings
Just go on holding to that
For I am done
I am done
I am done
