I do not understand
Why people don’t accept life as it is
Why people don’t see the real beauty of life
Why I’m here, alive on earth
But most of all, I don’t understand
Why all people aren’t accepted for whom they are
Why high school is broken up into cliques
And why people are so mean
Why does it matter what you look like
Doesn’t it matter what’s on the inside not on the out
Why can’t everyone have an equal chance?
What I understand the most is children
They have no worries
They are so carefree and outgoing
They are funny, great to be with and not judgmental
Children can teach you a lot
And most of all
They make you realize
How precious life really is
