The rain is pouring,
And it is ten o’clock at night,
We’ve turned the clocks ahead,
So we are all losing,
But not me,
No,
I am winning

With the receiver of my house phone
To my ear,
I listen to your words,
My cell phone died,
And on the internet,
You told me it was urgent

I’m listening to the wind
Slicing through the rain,
Splashing against my windows
As if I was in the middle of the ocean,
I let it take me far away…

Is this how it feels to be content?
With you, it’s so easy
You are my world
But I can’t be yours,
Because I am already someone else’s,
I am not deceitful

But it’s so hard to stay away,
We’ve been friends for years,
I can’t remember a time,
When there was no you

And I can’t tell you how I feel,
No I never can,
It’s not ever going to be that easy
Not with someone else’s heart
Stitched on to my sleeve …
