Childish
What I can't see,
 can't hurt me.
 I'm told to look away
nothing more she has to say

 My young eyes are shielded,
 retaining their innocence
 I am not curious
I hold tightly to my childishness

 I am childish
 I fear the unknown
 I hold my mother's hand
safe from the wicked and the d---ed

 I'm told to look away,
 since what I can't see,
 can't hurt me.
So what is burning my eyes?
