&quot; Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, &#039;Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented?&#039; Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world; there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won&#039;t feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. We were all born to make manifest the glory of God that&#039;s within us - it&#039;s not just in some of us, it&#039;s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.&quot;<br /> -Nelson Mandela

Tonight I met a writer;
It seems I always do.
We artists seem to find each other
Because writing is our life.

Words are our passion,
Our outlet,
Our "institution,"
For without it we'd go insane.

Liars we may be,
Or just masters of hyperbole,
But you can always spot us out,
Because we look at things
In a different way.

Anything could bring us inspiration,
Everything we analyze,
We feel,
We move,
We touch.

Tears come to us easily,
Just by one sweet melody,
Or the kiss of a memory.

But most importantly,
We observe,
We see,
We know
All the things that others
Simply don't.
