When the world sleeps
there is quiet.
The cadences of Earth
cease their constant riot.
And there is silence
all throughout it.

Often I have wandered
into the dark of night
Just for one glimpse of
that quiet in my sight.

I used to dance un clad
alongside friendly fae
But as the thunderstorm
hushed and ran away
my feet no longer moved
to the rythm of the day.
