My Routine
My Routine
I woke up this morning with a routine
I don’t like routines
They don’t allow room for the interesting
Room for the spontaneous
Room for the abnormal
I like abnormal
I hear that noise and look up at my clock
I hit the snooze and only want to sleep
I like sleep
After I hit snooze I hear that noise again
I don’t like that noise
I like sleep
This time I hit the off button
I like that button
I get up
I get dressed
I get clean
I get fed
I get going
I get to school
I have a schedule
I don’t like schedules
Schedules don’t allow room for the interesting
Room for the spontaneous
Room for the abnormal
I like abnormal
I hear that noise and look up at my teacher
I grab my pencil and only want to sleep
I like sleep
After class I hear that noise again
I don’t like that noise
I like sleep
All day I hear that noise
That noise plays one more time
Than I leave
