together, but separate in thought
we stand breathing in
thick unspoken words
aching quiet
blanketed stillness

debating whether to speak,
to move this along
knowingly we shuffle our feet
but my mouth refuses to open
stubborn silence creeps in
taunting us

a quick glimpse
our eyes meet
saying everything

This is a fantastic piece of poetry, I can picture the entire scenario in my vividly mind. Very well done and I hope that you keep writing.
