"Love is a lie; I trust hate."

"The pain of having a broken heart is not so much as to kill you, yet not so little as to let you live."

"You don’t realize how much you care about someone until they don’t care about you."

The shining darkness
Illuminates my shame
Again and again
Trespassing angels and
Cherished demons
Are warring inside me
One side a blinding, infuriating light
The other a calming embrace of darkness
Which side will gain control of my heart?
I think the darkness
Already has

I was inspired to write this after the girl I love told me there was no chance for us. (I'm a girl too, btw) It actually started out as a song inspired by the lyrics of Evanescence's songs, but I ended up using it for this.
