Her Fears
She falls asleep with her teddy
in her hands
and the music blaring in her ears
Trying to block out the memories,
that's what she fears.
She's trying to start over
trying to never look back at the days before
She changed her look, attitude, and the way she is, but she still
can't ignore.
The scars no one can ever see, those are the ones she has
These are the mental ones, emotional, no one will ever know she had it that bad.
She's starting over, ignoring the pain that has always been there
It will never go away, it's on her list of things she fears.
She prays, begs, pleas, always
asking why me?!?
"God just give me an answer, to this one question I seek."
No answer ever comes just emptiness and loneliness all around her.
Put on a smile and laugh like its okay, when inside she's crying forever.
She falls asleep with her teddy
in her hands and the music blaring in her ears
Crying...trying to block out the memories that make her fear...
