I spread my wings

Arms?

Waiting to jump as birds cheerfully sing

I am bewitched by their charm

Many meters below me

Lies the crashing waves

Still in a trance from the birds melody

I am snapped back to reality and away from my impending grave


The smell of salt

Is always fresh in the air

Coming from the light, clear, cobalt

Always present, beneath the moons shine and the suns glare


It awaits me

Ever so calmly it waits

It will wait forever into eternity

I don’t have that long but my lover still awaits


I spread my wings

(My arms)

Waiting to jump as birds cheerfully sing
