I remember things as they were –
Instant, spontaneous, beautiful,
And things as they are –
Silent, unresponsive, and gone…
I remember the times when I loved;
And lost,
When I lived,
And learned—
I found many reasons to change;
And I know why –
Because among the rubble of this broken friendship,
New life will spring up—
If the rocks of others don’t get in its way…

I was inspired to write this piece when I was having friend problems. We all have problems with our friends sometimes, and while other people kick something or scream, I wrote this.

This poem is easy to relate to, because you're right -- we all have problems with our friends sometimes. I love your describing words: ex: instant, unresponsive
