As I step outside after a cold winter
I am suddenly engrossed with happiness
The sidewalk is now a field of flowers
The hip-hop song on my IPod is now a lullaby
The dog leash I’m holding is now a young prince’s hand
But then I realize that the flowers will soon be replaced by the fire of
Summer
