&quot; The only thing standing between me and total happiness is reality.&quot;<br /> &quot;I can&rsquo;t face the mirror, I&rsquo;ll break the glass. I can&rsquo;t live in the moment for the time will pass.&quot; -I wrote this one.

I remember the day
You held out a red rose, and I placed it in my hand
I’ll never forget that day, even after the waters take over land
I held onto that rose, and I wish I could’ve gripped for an eternity
When it died, it didn’t matter what everyone had to say
The rose meant so much to me
I kissed it everyday
The time when we came to an end
I still held onto that rose
And as I cried
I knew we were done for good
When I finally stopped kissing that rose
It was like saying a final Good-bye
Almost as if I knew, that the rose had it’s end
I wish I could remember the day…
The day the rose you gave me had said its final Good-bye
After so long, I’m still trying to keep,
The memory of that special day when the rose came to life
Whatever happened to that rose, yet I’m still not sure
It sent me an omen, a sign
That you and I were done for good
How could you and I be done for good? After I tried…
But I’ll always remember that day, for eternity and forevermore
The day when the red rose was alive.

This is a final edit of a poem I wrote when I was 13. It is completely true, and the explanation to my fascination with roses.
