It’s hard to stay away from the
Darker things in life
When all you feel is pain
Let it be emotional
Or physical
It still sucks
And all it does is ruin you
It causes you to cry
Whether it’s from heart break
Or a skinned knee
It will cause misery
Sadness
Depression
Pain causes us to do things
That we never imagined doing
When we when we were happy
It causes scars
On both our minds
And our bodies
It shows us how heartless
And how hard
The world can be
But without pain
We would never learn
How to be truly happy
And we would never see just how good
The world could be
And how much we could do
To make it better
