I stood and watched my own life turn upside-down
How the one person I could trust hurt me so
Hurt me to the point where the only thing I feel
Is fear of the outside, of the world that I know only as cruel

The secrets I told you
The things I never dared to tell anyone else
Spread quickly like a wildfire
A wildfire that burned me alive

All the love I thought you felt for me
Were just lies I grasped onto
Hopes and dreams that you will help me through rough times
Shattered as I knew more about you

And as I descended deeper into the hell you wished upon me
I prayed that you would emend how you treated me
But the prayers were never received
My descent continuing, my life tearing apart

Now the world is a place of hell to me
The door my barrier to what I want to never face again
You taught me the worst of me
And I can never shed the horrid memories
From the moment I gazed into your eyes
